The Home Birth Option of Cleveland is a group that meets monthly to offer support and education for women and families considering alternatives to hospital birth. We offer a series of topics, and also serve as a referral for doulas and midwives in the Greater Cleveland area.
My name is Kimberly French and I serve as the President of the Home Birth Option of Cleveland. I am a Certified Professional Midwife with a home birth practise. I am the mother of nine children, all born at home. I have been a practising midwife for over 20 years.
I provide women with many birthing alternatives, such as home VBAC and waterbirth, and I would love the opportunity to meet with you.
Please call me for more information about our home birth meetings, or to inquire about the home birth services I provide.

I am 22 yrs old and 6 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. My first child was born in University Hospital, and it was a horrible experience. Because of that reason, my husband and I are dead set on having a home birth, we just don't know how to go about arranging one. Please can you help me?

My daughter was born at Cleveland Clinic with the help of a wonderful CNM. They no longer allow water births. I'd love to give birth to to our next baby at home. We're just trying to figure out where to go from here. Thank you!

I am very interested in exploring a less-stressful route this pregnancy. This will be our third child and I have strongly disliked giving birth in hospitals due to the lack of freedom and being made to feel like I am sick or have a disease when all I am trying to do is bring my child into the world! I would love to here more about the options that a midwife can lend. I am about 13 weeks along. Thanks.
